Before joining Escalate in 2005, Larry spent three years as an associate in the Healthcare Corporate Finance Group at JP Morgan. In this capacity, Larry was the primary corporate contact and managed all aspects of several M&A assignments in the healthcare services and medical device sectors. Prior to JPMorgan, Larry was a research analyst at Joel Mogy Investment Counsel in Beverly Hills, CA where he was involved with portfolio management and related equity research functions. Larry received a BS from Duke and an MBA from the University of Texas.

Prior to Escalate, Ross spent 10 years with Austin Ventures where he was a General Partner and focused on investments in software and services. He was responsible for the firm’s investments in Convio, Reactivity, Staktek , iMark, and Whisperwire. Ross spent his early career with Lomas Financial, where he was involved in asset-backed securitization and structured finance. Ross received a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from The University of Texas.

Janan joins Escalate after over a decade of experience in the banking industry with a focus on venture lending and portfolio management. Prior to joining Escalate, Janan was a Senior Vice President on the Credit Solutions team at Silicon Valley Bank. Janan received a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia. Outside of work, Janan is passionate about volunteering and has served various organizations, including LLS, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Seedling Foundation, and Junior League.

Simon manages all facets of Escalate’s finance, administration and reporting functions. Prior to Escalate, Simon accumulated over 20 years of senior management experience in the banking industry. Notable positions include Chief Administrative Officer of Comerica’s Technology and Life Sciences Division, Vice President of Silicon Valley Bank’s Semiconductor Industry lending group and lending roles with Credit Suisse, the Industrial Bank of Japan and the Banque Nationale de Paris. Simon earned a BBA from the University of Washington and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Prior to joining Escalate in 2008, Chris was Senior Market Manager of RBC Centura Bank’s Knowledge Based Industries Group, which he helped launch in the US in 2001. Prior to RBC, Chris was a Vice President with Comerica Bank’s Technology and Life Sciences Group, and managed Comerica’s Research Triangle, NC office. He was also an Associate with Capital Investment Partners, a boutique investment banking firm that focused on M&A and structured financial transactions for mid-market companies in the Southeast. Chris holds a BA from Wake Forest.

Kokila joins Escalate after almost a decade of working in the investment management industry focusing on investment due diligence and portfolio analysis. Prior to Escalate, Kokila was at Sendero Wealth Management where she focused on manager due diligence across long-only and alternative strategies, asset allocation, and portfolio management. Kokila began her career at FactSet Research Systems as an investment management consultant. She received a BBA in Finance and BA in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin. Kokila is also an investment committee member of the alumni endowment at The University of Texas at Austin and is a CFA charterholder.

Prior to Escalate, Tony was a Managing Director of the Technology and Life Sciences Division for Comerica Bank and its predecessor, Imperial Bank. Prior to Comerica, he held a variety of corporate finance positions with The Sabre Group and Coopers & Lybrand. Tony began his career as a commercial lender with MBank Dallas (subsequently acquired by Bank One) and First Gibraltar Bank (subsequently acquired by BofA). Tony earned both a BBA and MBA from The University of Texas at Austin. Tony is also a member of the McCombs School of Business Advisory Council at The University of Texas at Austin and a CPA.

Travis joins Escalate after a 20-year career at Silicon Valley Bank where he served in various managerial, sales and portfolio oversight roles. Most recently, he was a Managing Director of the Credit Solutions team overseeing the technology portfolio across the southwest. At Escalate, he will be focused on sourcing and managing investments. Travis is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.

Connor joins Escalate after three years in the investment management industry specializing in portfolio analysis and business strategy. Prior to Escalate, Connor worked at PIMCO where he focused on client servicing within the public pension practice and strategic reporting for the institutional client management business. Connor is a CFA level III candidate. He received his BA from Pomona College, where he majored in Economics and minored in Mathematics & Spanish.
